Over the course of his 25+ year career, Quayside resident Daniel Fontaine has worked in the private and not-for-profit sectors as well as government. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Minister and Chief Executive Officer for Metis Nation BC. Fontaine is Metis and obtained his citizenship in 2020. Fontaine is the Principal at MICHIFCO Consulting.

After obtaining his political science degree from the University of Manitoba, Fontaine went on to complete the Media Writing and Public Relations certificate program at Langara College. 

Fontaine currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hockey Canada. He was previously appointed to the Board of Directors for Douglas College and served on the BC College of Psychologists. He formerly served as the President for the Canadian Association for Long-Term Care and a board director for SafeCare BC.

Elected to Council in October 2022, Kash Heed brings over four decades of experience in public service to the role of Councillor. A former Chief of Police, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Solicitor General, and Adjunct Professor, he holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the field of Leadership in Public Safety from Simon Fraser University. He is also a published author.

Colleen Hardwick is a former Vancouver City Councillor (2018-2022) and TEAM Mayoral Candidate in 2022.

Colleen was born, raised and educated in Vancouver. The Hardwick family has provided civic leadership in the City for three generations. Her father, Dr. Walter G. Hardwick, served on city council from 1968 to 1974, was BC Deputy Minister of Education and a founder of the Knowledge Network. Her grandmother, Iris Hardwick, was the only woman elected to the Vancouver Park Board in 1956-1960. Colleen obtained a B.A. in Geography and Political Science at the University of British Columbia in 1983, began her Masters in Urban Planning with her practicum at the City of Victoria before pursuing a career in the film industry.

Susan Bains is a White Rock City Councillor, community builder, and accessibility advocate dedicated to creating a stronger, more connected Metro Vancouver. Her work focuses on age friendly communities, thoughtful development, supporting local businesses, streamlining public services and building inclusive communities where everyone feels welcome.

With a background in Human Resources, business leadership, education, and community engagement, Susan has spent her career helping people and organizations succeed. She founded and operated an HR consulting business, supported local businesses through the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce and Surrey Board of Trade, and taught business and HR skills as an adult educator.

After becoming a permanent wheelchair user in 2021, Susan turned her personal experience with accessibility barriers into advocacy, successfully helping improve waterfront accessibility in White Rock, including the installation of an accessibility mat on the White Rock Pier.

Susan was elected to White Rock City Council as the city’s first South Asian councillor and first councillor who uses a wheelchair. She believes meaningful progress starts with listening, collaboration, and turning community ideas into action; a commitment that has inspired her to run for Mayor of White Rock and bringing that same collaborative, inclusive approach to leadership of the entire city.​

With 22 years of Coquitlam roots and an active community member who logs over  200 kilometres a month walking Coquitlam's trails, Madhavee Inamdar bridges high-level, future-ready Coquitlam with grounded, neighbourhood-first empathy. 

Over more than two decades, she has worked across public sector and institutional settings, including the Government of B.C., Surrey RCMP, Fraser Health, University of the Fraser Valley, and B.C. Lottery Corporation. Her leadership experience includes policy design, organizational accountability, ethical frameworks, and bringing community perspectives to city and public-library committees.

Madhavee holds post graduate degrees in Strategic Studies, International Relations, and Political Science, alongside certified auditor credentials in AI Management, Indigenous Perspectives and AI, Ethics of AI from London School of Economics and Oxford  Executive Leadership Program from Saïd Business School. Madhavee is the only second woman in Coquitlam’s 135 years history to run for Mayor’s office.

Heymann Yip was born in Calgary, Alberta and moved to British Columbia at a young age. He has called Burnaby his home for the past 35 years.

Heymann became involved in municipal issues in 2017 after seeing growing public safety concerns in his neighbourhood. He joined the Burnaby RCMP Community Policing Advisory Committee that year and was later appointed Citizen Representative on the City's Public Safety Committee in 2020. During his time on the committee, he advocated for electric bikes for the Burnaby RCMP Bike Unit and improved transit safety through the installation of bus shelters across the city.

In 2023, Heymann discovered that the City planned to build a Green waste recycling facility on the sensitive wetlands in Fraser Foreshore Park in South Burnaby. In response, he mobilized residents and founded Save Burnaby Parks and Green Spaces, helping lead the successful effort to stop the project.

Known for his research-driven approach and commitment to accountability, Heymann has continued advocating for Burnaby residents, including protecting Blue Heron habitat near Deer Lake Park and opposing the proposed $852 million relocation of City Hall.

Heymann also brings practical governance experience. From 2012 to 2015, he served as president of a 206-unit strata council, helping residents work together to resolve complex issues. He has continued serving as a strata council member for the same community, reinforcing his belief that good governance is built on collaboration, accountability, and listening to the people you represent.

Recognizing that Burnaby residents deserved a stronger voice and a genuine alternative to the direction of City Hall, Heymann founded Burnaby First in 2026.
